Renewal Requirements

Certification is not "one and done." To maintain your ABO or NCLE credentials, you must:

  • Renew every 3 years.
  • Complete 12 Continuing Education (CE) credits (for ABO).
  • Complete 18 Continuing Education (CE) credits (for NCLE).
  • Pay a renewal fee (approximately $85).

Once you have your basic certification, you can pursue Advanced and Master level certifications to further your career and salary potential.
